Tribute gifts are a great way to mark a special occasion, holiday or simply to say thanks. They are a meaningful way to commemorate the life of a loved one. And, when you make a gift in honour or memory, we will send an acknowledgement card to the recipient upon request.

Gifts of shares or publicly traded securities are exempt from capital gains tax when donating to Community Living Toronto in support of LIGHTS. Notify us of your intent and we’ll walk you through the process and provide you with a Transfer of Securities Form with instructions for your financial institution. Once received, the receipt value will be based on the day Community Living Toronto receives delivery of the shares.

Leaving a gift in your Will is a simple, thoughtful way of providing a secure future for people with an intellectual disability seeking supported housing.

Be sure to inform us of your bequest and your wishes. It will give us the opportunity to guide, thank you and, more importantly, discuss what you hope your gift will help accomplish

A Will is a legal document. You will want to discuss the considerations of a planned gift with your lawyer. All Wills must include the full name of the charity.
